In addition to the large amount of free material on my new website, there are also details of paid-for support services for writers, including those who self-publish their books and those who wish to ensure that their manuscript is the very best it can be when it is submitted to a publisher.
Indeed, a number of the writers who have worked with myself and my daughter Laura, a skilled editor, have gone on to have their crime novels accepted by publishing houses.
Paid-for services include manuscript assessments, editing, proofing, mentoring and a crime writing course.
School visit: The picture shows me meeting pupils during my visit in 2024 to Jack Hunt School, in Peterborough, whose library is run by Laura. I ran several writing workshops during the day for pupils at the secondary school/sixth form. Although I charge for workshops, I do not do so when they involve libraries, as was the case here. I never charge libraries, in line with my role as one of three national Crime Writers’ (CWA) Association Library Champions. The event took place during National Crime Reading Month., which is run by the CWA and national charity The Reading Agency.
