Whither cometh ideas?

The question which authors are asked most often in Question and Answer sessions following talks and panel events is ‘where do you find your ideas?’

Crime writer John Dean has turned the question round in his latest feature exploring the craft of writing, aimed primarily at aspiring writers who are setting out on their literary journey.
