John Dean – Crime Writer

As part of this newly-created website, best-selling crime writer John Dean has provided dozens of free handy hints for the aspiring writer.

The latest one to be added is a way of confirming that the writer has created ‘real’ characters and not cardboard cut-outs. It can be found here at www.johndeancrimewriter.co.uk in the Handy Hints – Characters section.

In addition to the wealth of free material, the site includes paid-for services, including manuscript assessment, editing, proofing and mentoring for writers who wish to take things to the next level as they prepare to submit manuscripts to agents and publishers or to self-publish.

A number of emerging writers who have hired John and his daughter Laura, an editor/proofer who has worked for a number of publishers, have gone on to secure publishing contracts. Who knows, you could be next!
