John Dean – Crime Writer

Best-selling crime writer John Dean has been steadily expanding his new website and one of the things that he has done over recent days is to pull together into one place a number of interviews and profiles in which he has featured in recent years.

They include print media and filmed interviews featuring the author talking about everything from the way he approaches the craft of writing and the potent impact of sense of place as a driver for his ideas to how he keeps writing through difficult times such as ill-health.

This picture of the author here was taken by his former publisher Erik Empson, the founder of The Book Folks, now a Joffe Books company, which has published all John’s crime novels to accompany his in-depth profile of the author and his family during a visit to their home on a South West Scotland hillside in 2021.
