Members of the Goodreads review website team have been tracking the most eagerly-anticipated books of 2026 and now the list is out.
The 68 books are all to be published in the United States in 2026 but the list will be similar elsewhere in the world.

They were selected on the back of factors including early reviews and how many site users are adding titles to their ‘Want to Read’ shelves.
Among those books which are eagerly anticipated are the latest from Douglas Stuart, the Booker Prize–winning author of Shuggie Bain, who invites readers to Scotland’s remote Hebrides islands with another Gaelic drama John of John, Ann Patchet continuing her lifelong exploration of the human heart with her new novel, Whistler, coming in June, and Terah Shelton Harris’s latest, a survival story titled Where the Wildflowers Grow.
