| The Crime Writers’ Association has announced that the 2027 Daggers awards are open for submission. The Daggers, which have been synonymous with quality crime writing for more than half a century, are judged by independent expert panels. CWA Chair Nadine Matheson, said: “Each year, the Daggers celebrate the very best in crime writing, recognising established authors who continue to push the genre forward, new voices bringing fresh energy and perspective to the genre and those writers who may have been quietly honing their craft and producing exceptional work that deserves to be discovered. “Awards like the Daggers play an important role in shining a light on the breadth and depth of talent within crime writing. They not only honour excellence but also help bring remarkable books to the attention of readers, booksellers and the wider literary community.
