All authors value their books bringing in large numbers of reviews and star-ratings, as long as the majority are positive, of course! For instance, I am, delighted if one of my novels tops 1,000 reviews/ratings on Amazon. It is good to know that you are not being ignored.

Then you come across a statistic that makes you realise how far you have to go. This thought came to mind when I read that Stephen King’s latest crime novel has attracted 36,461 such mentions on Amazon (4.4 stars out of 5).
Later (Titan Books) tells the story of the son of a struggling single mother, Jamie Conklin, who can talk to the recently-dead. The story tells how a NYPD detective draws him into the pursuit of a killer who has threatened to strike from beyond the grave
Typical, haunting Stephen King and, clearly, the readers agree.
